After that, in 1989, I moved to Montana and practiced there for 13 years.
I was then invited to join a naturopathic medical school in Tempe, AZ and did so. For eleven years I was Chair of Nutrition, Gastroenterology professor and supervised students in the out patient clinic. In 2013 I decided to returned to full private practice.
My mission is to guide each patient along on his/her individual journey back to health. I will focus as needed on aiding a patient’s physical, mental, and emotional health. Using medical science, experience, and naturopathic principles and modalities, she will work diligently to diagnose, treat, and lend nonjudgmental support and encouragement to each patient.
What People Are Saying
“Sue and I were fortunate to attend a seminar some years ago given by Dr. Morstein on the subject of diabetes. We had both recently been diagnose with Type 2 diabetes and were given medicines to control it. We were interested in what we could do holistically to stop taking medicines and have our blood sugars get under perfect control.
We both began seeing Dr. Morstein and she was able to get us off our medicines and have our glucose control become as good as non-Diabetics. We are proud to say that five years later we remain in good glucose control and prescription free.”

“Around 1990, my MD diagnosed me with an intestinal infection scheduled surgery. A friend suggested I see Dr. Morstein. After my treatment plan with Dr. Morstein, I felt better; even chronic heartburn I had for years was gone. I went back to my other doctor, he repeated his tests. My MD wanted to know what I had done because my infection was totally gone and he cancelled the plans for surgery. Needless to say, Dr. Mona as I have come to call her, over these 20 years is MY TRUSTED PHYSICIAN. If you want a doctor that’s truthful, cares about you as an individual, is more than willing to take the time to listen and knows her business, then you want Dr. Mona Morstein.”

“Dr. Morstein saved my gallbladder. I was in the emergency room with an ER doctor instilling the fear of death in me to get it out. Dr. Morstein reassured me she could get it settled down. I came to her office the next morning and just as she said in about 30 minutes it settled. It took us a good part of a year to get it fully recovered - much like a broken bone - but through her plan, dietary, supplements, lifestyle, I can say I have not had a single gallbladder flare up in over two years. I have kept this vital organ and function normally in life. She is so knowledgable, knows how to address disease quickly and if you do what she tells you to do, she will dramatically improve your health and your life.”

Naturopathic philosophy includes these six tenets:
do no harm
NDs believe that in healing a patient, it’s best to use the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies.
Healing power of nature
NDs believe the body is wise and always wishes to be healthy in mind, emotions, body and spirit. It also has the ability to heal, and that using natural treatments and working with the body can allow a return to health.
identify/treat the cause
NDs believe we must find the reasons the body is ill and remove them first.
treat the whole person
NDs understand the connection between childhood, traumas, foods, the environment, relationships, work, etc., all the ways life can impact a person. NDs work on each level to ensure healing can be complete.
doctor as teacher
NDs spend a lot of time with patients to teach how to eat, lifestyle, address causative etiologies, create comprehensive protocols. Encouragement, motivation and support are at the heart of treatment.
prevention
NDs educate patients to help them understand why they got sick/imbalanced, and what they need to do to return and stay in health, so that their condition doesn’t return and developing new ones are reduced in risk.
